Improving access to data and information that demonstrates the benefits of circular economy strategies and action.

Access to information and knowledge sharing is essential to advancing the circular economy in Canada, and must be based on defensible, accessible data, proof points, and evidence-based research.

CELC is working to develop and aggregate case studies, success stories, and “every day” examples of circular economy in action across Canada that clearly demonstrate the linkages between circular strategies and broader economic, social, and environmental benefits and objectives such as productivity, affordability, job creation, climate action, and biodiversity loss. CELC is working to communicate the benefits of circularity, working with strategic partners to target key audiences with messaging that resonates.

In addition, CELC has been working on improving access to data and related standards to support business and policy decision-making, as well as working on performance measurement and indicator frameworks for quantifying the impacts of circular economy efforts and initiatives at the local, national, and sector levels.
