2020 ZERO WASTE CONFERENCE: A FUTURE WITHOUT WASTE

2020
Zero Waste Conference

A Future Without Waste

November 13, 2020
8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. PDT

Presented by Metro Vancouver and the National Zero Waste Council

How do we build healthy, thriving and inclusive communities for generations to come? The circular economy offers a solution. By designing out waste, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems, the circular economy creates vital opportunities for economic growth that also restore the environment, create jobs, and benefit society.

Celebrating its 10th year, the Zero Waste Conference will bring together the local and global thought leaders from diverse sectors who are reshaping the way we make, deliver, and use goods. Join us to learn about the latest innovations, winning strategies and emerging opportunities in the circular economy, and reconnect with peers from across Canada and beyond.

This year’s program features thought provoking looks at new generation materials, tackling plastics waste, rethinking the built environment, and building back better after COVID. Keynote speakers include Beau Lotto, Professor of Neuroscience, University of London and Founder & Director, Lab of Misfits; Suzanne Lee, Founder & CEO, Biofabricate; Chelsea Rochman, Assistant Professor in Ecology, University of Toronto & Scientific Advisor to Ocean Conservancy; and Michael Green, Architect & Principal, MGA.
