Description: This session will present key learnings from Québec’s experience transitioning to a circular economy. It aims to offer insights and recommendations to other legislative bodies in their own journey to circularity. The strategy leading to the province’s transition over the last five years will be dissected and explained through key stakeholders’ points of view. It will establish how to spark interest, unite, and engage stakeholders so that change can take root and grow across an entire system. The session will describe what obstacles were faced by the transition leaders. Step by step, it will explain the main milestones of the last five years, and how they led to the upcoming major changes.
